    Lyn is a postdoctoral researcher in the Department of Computer Science at the University of Manchester and an Associate Professor at the University of the Philippines Diliman. She is a recipient of the 2024-2025 Early Career Research Fellowship under the International Science Partnerships Fund (ISPF), delivered by the British Council, for the project “Enhancing Environmental Resilience through AI-driven Analysis of Unstructured Data.”

    She specialises in natural language processing (NLP) and text mining, focusing on extracting and structuring knowledge from biodiversity and environmental texts. Her work develops culturally and ecologically grounded NLP pipelines that support conservation, environmental monitoring, and evidence-based policymaking. She also supervises students working with fragmented data sources, guiding them in building methods to extract and integrate information into accessible knowledge systems.
