Dr Youcef Benkhedda is a Postdoctoral Research Associate in the Department of Computer Science at the University of Manchester. Youcef holds a PhD in Computer Science, specialising in Natural Language Processing and machine learning. His work focuses on the development of computational methods for relation extraction, entity linking, cross-network user identity matching, and knowledge graph construction, with applications to social media, cultural, and historical datasets. He has led and contributed to a number of inter-disciplinary projects, developing AI and NLP solutions together with collaborators from diverse domains, including employee well-being, online safety, and community-generated digital content. His research outputs have been published in top AI and computational linguistics venues and have informed practical applications in both academic and real-world settings.
